304L Stainless Steel Channel is the low-carbon version of 304 stainless steel with a composition of about 18-20% Chromium and 8-12% Nickel and a maximum of 0.03% Carbon. The composition provides increased corrosion resistance, particularly after welding. Major mechanical properties are Tensile Strength of ~485 MPa, Yield Strength of ~170 MPa, and 40% Elongation in 50mm. It has good formability, weldability, and toughness at a broad spectrum of temperatures. The low carbon ensures minimum precipitation of carbides, with suitability in high-temperature and corrosive environments.
