Stainless Steel 304 Foils contain mainly 18–20% Chromium and 8–10.5% Nickel along with small traces of Carbon, Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Nitrogen. The alloy provides a density of 8.0 g/cm³, a melting point of 1400–1450°C, and superior corrosion resistance. The mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 515–750 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, and elongation ≥ 40%. It also provides superior formability and weldability and is therefore a useful material for different demanding applications.
