Duplex Steel S32205 (UNS S32205) has about 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and traces of nitrogen and manganese. It has a two-phase microstructure (austenitic + ferritic) and offers high pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking resistance. The alloy exhibits tensile strength of about 620–880 MPa, yield strength of approximately 450 MPa, and elongation of 25%. With a Brinell hardness of approximately 290 HB, S32205 offers excellent mechanical performance and weldability, making it a strong, durable option for use in aggressive chemical and marine environments.
