Nimonic 80A is controlled-titanium, controlled-aluminum, controlled-carbon, nickel-chromium alloy. It has approximately 76% nickel, 19.5% chromium, 2.3% titanium, and 1.4% aluminum. This gives it high strength, creep resistance, and oxidation resistance up to 815°C. It has a tensile strength of about 965 MPa, yield strength of about 585 MPa, and good ductility. Nimonic 80A is precipitation-hardened and maintains its mechanical stability in harsh thermal conditions. Its fine weldability and formability render it appropriate for producing precision components for high-temperature industrial applications.
