Nimonic 90 is a nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy with about 53% nickel, 18–21% chromium, and 15–21% cobalt, along with aluminum and titanium for precipitation hardening. This gives excellent strength at high temperatures and resistance to oxidation. It has a tensile strength of about 965 MPa and yield strength of about 585 MPa, with good fatigue strength and creep resistance. Nimonic 90 shows mechanical stability up to 950°C. These plates and sheets are also renowned for their corrosion resistance and formability and hence find applications in precision fabrication in harsh environments.
