Stainless Steel 410 is a martensitic stainless steel containing about 11.5–13.5% chromium and 0.15% carbon, with traces of manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. This composition has moderate corrosion resistance, fair hardness, and high strength. The tensile strength is up to 700 MPa, yield strength is about 275 MPa, and there is good impact resistance. It is heat-treatable and has fair machinability and wear resistance. These characteristics render SS 410 Channels appropriate for structural use needing strength and resistance to moderate corrosion.
