Haynes 25 / L605 Foil is a cobalt superalloy having mainly cobalt, with about 20% chromium, 15% tungsten, 10% nickel, 3% iron, 1.5% manganese, 0.4% silicon, and 0.1-0.15% carbon. It provides excellent tensile strength to 1200 MPa, superior creep and stress-rupture resistance, and exceptional ductility even at high temperatures. The foil retains high oxidation and wear resistance up to 980°C (1800°F) and is therefore suitable for applications where high-temperature, corrosive conditions exist and reliability and long life are essential.
