Maraging Steel 250/300/350 has approximately 18–19% nickel with cobalt, molybdenum, titanium, and very low carbon content. The steels are noted for ultra-high strength via aging heat treatment. Maraging 250 possesses tensile strength of ~1700 MPa, Maraging 300 comes to ~2000 MPa, and Maraging 350 up to over 2400 MPa. They possess high strength with excellent toughness and good machinability. Weldability is improved by low carbon content and aging treatment ensures maximum strength and hardness without sacrificing ductility.
