Nickel (58% min), chromium (20–23%), molybdenum (8–10%), and niobium (3.15–4.15%) make up the majority of Inconel 625, with trace amounts of iron, cobalt, and titanium. Excellent mechanical qualities are provided by this alloy, which has a yield strength of about 414 MPa and a tensile strength of about 827 MPa. Additionally, it provides outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking, as well as high fatigue strength. Because Inconel 625 maintains its mechanical stability at temperatures between cryogenic and 982°C, it is a material of choice for high-stress, high-temperature, and corrosive environments.
