About 50–55% nickel, 17–21% chromium, 4.75–5.5% niobium, and 2.8–3.3% molybdenum make up Inconel 718, with trace amounts of titanium, aluminium, cobalt, and iron. This alloy has exceptional mechanical qualities, such as yield strength of roughly 1030 MPa in aged conditions and tensile strength of up to 1240 MPa. It has outstanding creep resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion resistance up to 700°C. Applications needing extended service under mechanical and thermal stress can benefit greatly from Inconel 718’s weldability and formability.
