Monel K500 is an age-hardened nickel-copper alloy consisting mainly of approximately 63% nickel and 30% copper with minor additions of 2.3–3.15% aluminum and 0.35–0.85% titanium for strengthened properties. It possesses superior mechanical properties with tensile strength of 960–1100 MPa and yield strength of 690 MPa, with elongation to up to 20%. Monel K500 is the combination of Monel 400’s corrosion resistance with increased strength and hardness due to its age-hardening process. It has good performance in marine, chemical, and high-pressure applications at sub-zero and high temperatures.
