Compared to Alloy 200, Nickel Alloy 201 has a lower carbon content (maximum 0.02%) and a minimum 99.6% nickel content, which improves resistance to graphitisation at high temperatures. Iron, manganese, silicon, sulphur, and copper are all present in trace amounts. The alloy ensures good formability with its excellent elongation, yield strength of approximately 103 MPa, and tensile strength of approximately 403 MPa. Particularly at high temperatures, nickel 201 retains its exceptional electrical and thermal conductivity, high ductility, and toughness. In neutral and reducing media, including alkaline and acidic settings, it is non-magnetic and does not corrode.
