Aluminium 2024 T3511 is a aluminum alloy with high strength that mainly consists of aluminum (90.7%), copper (3.8–4.9%), manganese (0.3–0.9%), and magnesium (1.2–1.8%), along with traces of iron, silicon, and zinc. With the T3511 temper, it is naturally aged and stress-relieved, having superior mechanical strength. It provides a tensile strength of about 470 MPa, yield strength of around 325 MPa, and good fatigue life. Though not very corrosion-resistant, it has better machinability and workability and is suitable for load-carrying and fatigue-critical applications, particularly in aerospace and transportation industries.
