ASTM A182 F91 is chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy steel with about 9% Chromium, 1% Molybdenum, and trace levels of Carbon, Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Vanadium. The alloy is characterized by high creep strength, oxidation resistance, and high-temperature thermal stability. The general tensile strength is about 585 MPa, with a yield strength of 415 MPa and elongation of 20%. The alloy is normalized and tempered, offering better resistance to high-temperature stress and corrosion, which allows it to find application in long-term service under harsh operating conditions.
