Stainless Steel 304L has about 18-20% Chromium, 8-12% Nickel, and up to 0.03% Carbon, which improves corrosion resistance and weldability. It further consists of Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Iron. It has tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of ≥ 40%. The material has great toughness even at cryogenic temperatures and retains high formability and strength, rendering it suitable for extensive applications.
