Aluminium 7050 Circles contain predominantly aluminium, with principal alloying constituents of zinc (5.7–6.7%), magnesium (1.9–2.6%), and copper (2.0–2.6%), and minimal amounts of chromium, iron, silicon, and manganese. It is a heat-treatable alloy possessing high strength and excellent corrosion resistance to stress. The tensile strength is generally 490–540 MPa, yield strength 430–470 MPa, with good fatigue properties. Aluminium 7050 also has good fracture resistance and toughness, thus being suitable for high-performance environments critical load-bearing applications.
