Hastelloy C22 Foils consist mainly of nickel (about 56%), with major additions of chromium (20–22.5%), molybdenum (12.5–14.5%), and iron (2–6%). It also has minor additions of cobalt, tungsten, and manganese. The composition gives excellent resistance to oxidizing and reducing conditions. The alloy possesses a tensile strength of about 690 MPa, yield strength of about 310 MPa, and elongation of about 45%. Hastelloy C22 Foils are resistant to mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and are non-magnetic. They may be readily fabricated, welded, and cold-formed to intricate shapes without loss of structural integrity.
