Stainless Steel 310S is a low carbon variant of 310, consisting predominantly of 25% chromium and 20% nickel and traces of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and iron. Its composition makes it more resistant to oxidation and high-temperature tensile strength. It provides a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, and possesses good elongation (≥ 40%) and hardness (Brinell 217 max). The low carbon content reduces carbide precipitation during welding, hence suitable for high-temperature and corrosive operations in different industries.
