After welding, stainless steel 316Ti, a titanium-stabilized variant of SS 316, is intended to withstand intergranular corrosion. It is composed of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and up to 0.7% titanium. It has exceptional mechanical strength and a low carbon content (≤0.08%). The material’s elongation is 40%, its yield strength is 205 MPa, and its minimum tensile strength is 515 MPa. SS 316Ti is perfect for applications involving high heat and corrosive conditions because it retains strength and corrosion resistance in environments with elevated temperatures.
