Super Duplex Steel Foil is generally comprised of an equiaxed combination of austenite and ferrite phases, comprising about 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum, and nitrogen. This alloy provides exceptional strength—almost double that of standard stainless steels—along with superior corrosion resistance. The tensile and yield strengths are approximately 800 MPa and 550 MPa, respectively. The material is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking due to chloride and also possesses superior toughness under high-temperature as well as low-temperature conditions. It is best suited for harsh and corrosive operating conditions.
