Hastelloy B2 Sheets and Plates consist mainly of Nickel (about 65%), Molybdenum (28-30%), Iron (about 2%), Chromium (about 1%), with Cobalt and trace elements. These plates and sheets have a tensile strength of about 690 MPa, yield strength of about 310 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. The alloy has high ductility and toughness even in harsh conditions. Its low carbon content makes it more weldable and avoids carbide precipitation during welding, thus retaining maximum corrosion resistance.
