Hastelloy X is a nickel alloy with around 47.5% Ni, 22% Cr, 18.5% Fe, 9% Mo, traces of Co, Mn, Si, and C. It possesses high oxidation resistance up to 1200°C and high strength at elevated temperatures. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 870 MPa, yield strength of around 360 MPa, elongation of about 45%, and hardness of about 89 HRB. This set of properties makes Hastelloy X suitable for harsh thermal and chemical conditions.
