Aluminium 2014 Circles contain a high percentage of aluminium (90.7%) along with copper (4.4–5%), manganese (0.4–1.2%), magnesium (0.2–0.8%), and trace elements. It is a high-strength alloy showing good machinability and fatigue strength. It has tensile strength of approximately 450 MPa and 280 MPa yield strength with good wear resistance and hardness. While less resistant to corrosion than other aluminium alloys, its mechanical strength is suited for applications that require high performance and structural integrity. Heat treatment also increases its strength, and as a result, it is widely used in demanding applications.
