Aluminium 2017 Circles consist mainly of aluminium (about 91.5%) and copper (3.5–4.5%), with minor additions of manganese, magnesium, iron, and silicon. These circles have very good mechanical strength, with a tensile strength of about 430 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa. They have good machinability and moderate corrosion resistance. The alloy has high fatigue strength due to its desirable combination of high strength, resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and resistance to corrosion. With a hardness of around 120 HB in the Brinell hardness test, Aluminium 2017 Circles have a good combination of workability and mechanical strength for diverse operational conditions.
