Armor Sheets and Plates are produced from specifically designed high-hardness steel alloys with Carbon, Manganese, Chromium, and occasionally Nickel and Molybdenum. They generally possess a Brinell Hardness Number (BHN) between 400–600, providing outstanding ballistic resistance. With a yield point over 850 MPa and tensile strength of 1250–1600 MPa, they provide excellent energy absorption and structural stability. They also possess good weldability and toughness, which is why they can be used in static and dynamic protection applications where impact resistance is a requirement.
