Duplex Steel Circles contain an equilibrated microstructure of austenite and ferrite, with 22–25% chromium, 4.5–7% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, and traces of nitrogen and manganese. The ingredients yield very high mechanical properties such as tensile strength (620–800 MPa), yield strength (450–550 MPa), and elongation up to 25%. Duplex steel offers superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Its duplex phase structure raises toughness and weldability, allowing it to be well suited to applications involving strength along with corrosion resistance in hostile environments.
