Duplex Steel Coils contain a range of 22–25% chromium, 4–6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and a balanced combination of ferritic and austenitic microstructures. The duplex composition has better strength and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Duplex steel possesses tensile strength of 620–850 MPa, yield strength of about 450 MPa, and elongation of 25%. It also has good weldability and toughness. Its mechanical properties render duplex steel coils ideal for uses that exert high mechanical stress and expose the material to harsh surroundings, particularly for marine, chemical, and industrial applications.
