Manganese, silicon, and carbon are added in trace amounts. This alloy has an elongation of 25%, a yield strength of 450 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 620 MPa. Strength and resistance to corrosion are enhanced by its dual-phase microstructure. S31803 maintains outstanding mechanical and weldability qualities at low and moderately high temperatures, and it works well in environments that contain chloride.
