Hastelloy Coils consist mostly of nickel (more than 58%) with some molybdenum, chromium, cobalt, and iron depending on the grade (e.g., Hastelloy C22, C276, or B3). The elements exhibit excellent resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and aggressive oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Mechanical properties comprise tensile strength from 690–785 MPa, yield strength approximately 310 MPa, and elongation about 40–50%. Hastelloy has structural stability in high-temperature and hostile chemical conditions, as well as good formability, weldability, and resistance to localized corrosion.
