Nickel (≥58%), molybdenum (15–17%), and chromium (14.5–16.5%) are the usual elements found in hastelloy sheets and plates. Depending on the grade (e.g., C-276 or C-22), additional elements may include iron, cobalt, and tungsten. These alloys offer outstanding defence against oxidizing/reducing agents, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting. Hastelloy has an elongation of 40–50%, a yield strength of 275–355 MPa, and a tensile strength of 690–785 MPa. It is perfect for harsh industrial conditions because it retains its high strength and resistance to corrosion even in high temperatures and harsh chemical environments.
