Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that contains about 72% nickel, 14–17% chromium, and 6–10% iron, and manganese, carbon, and silicon in trace amounts. Such a composition gives the material excellent oxidation, carburization, and chloride-ion stress corrosion resistance. The tensile strength of the alloy is about 655 MPa, and its yield strength is approximately 310 MPa. Inconel 600 Angles maintain their mechanical properties over a broad range of temperatures, from cryogenic temperatures to 1093°C. The alloy also has good weldability, machinability, and formability, which can make it fit for structural use in hostile environments.
