Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy that contains about 58–63% nickel, 21–25% chromium, and a maximum of 14% iron, with traces of aluminum, carbon, and silicon. Aluminum increases its oxidation and scaling resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 601 Angles provide a tensile strength of about 600–750 MPa and yield strength of about 250–300 MPa. They have good creep resistance, metallurgical stability, and weldability. The alloy has mechanical stability in both carburizing and oxidizing environments and is therefore suitable for long-term applications under harsh conditions.
