Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with about 58–63% nickel, 21–25% chromium, and up to 14% iron along with minor additions of aluminum, carbon, and silicon. Its high-temperature oxidation resistance is improved by the presence of aluminum. Inconel 601 Foils have very good mechanical properties such as a tensile strength of 600–750 MPa and yield strength of 250–300 MPa. These foils exhibit structural stability at high temperatures, have excellent scaling resistance, and possess good workability and weldability. The strong composition of their strength guarantees longevity in the presence of oxidizing, carburizing, and corrosive environments, and they find applications in critical industrial processes.
