About 50–55% nickel, 17–21% chromium, 4.75–5.5% niobium, and 2.8–3.3% molybdenum make up Inconel 718, with trace amounts of titanium, aluminium, and iron. It is a precipitation-hardenable alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. When age-hardened, the alloy shows a yield strength of about 1030 MPa and a tensile strength of up to 1240 MPa. Applications needing long-term stability under mechanical and thermal stress can benefit from Inconel 718 Angles’ exceptional fatigue and creep resistance, as well as its ability to maintain mechanical properties up to 700°C.
