Maraging Steel Sheets and Plates are low-carbon, high-nickel alloys with 18–20% nickel, 8–12% cobalt, 3–5% molybdenum, and other minor additions of titanium and aluminum. They develop ultra-high strength through age hardening rather than by carbon content. Maraging steels have tensile strength between 1,400 and 2,400 MPa and superior fracture toughness. All this despite their strength, they also possess good ductility and can be machined easily in the annealed form. They also possess superior dimensional stability and low distortion when undergoing heat treatment, which makes them perfect for precision applications that demand high strength and reliability.
