The main constituents of Monel 400, a solid-solution alloy, are nickel (63% min) and copper (28%–34%), with trace amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. The alloy exhibits elongation of 30–40%, yield strength of 170–345 MPa, and tensile strength of 550–620 MPa.
