Monel K500 Foils consist mainly of nickel (63%) and copper (30%), with minor additions of aluminum (2.3–3.15%) and titanium (0.35–0.85%) for added strength. These foils have a tensile strength of around 110–140 ksi and yield strength of 75–110 ksi, with good fatigue and corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater and chemical applications. They are also available with hardness up to 35 Rockwell C and have a stability over a broad spectrum of temperatures, which makes them suitable for high-pressure applications as well as high-temperature applications.
