S690QL Steel Plates and Sheets are quenched and tempered structural steels with high strength having a general composition of carbon (≤0.2%), manganese, chromium, molybdenum, and nickel and proving superior hardenability and toughness. The plates provide a minimum yield point of 690 MPa and tensile strength of 770–940 MPa. The plates have very good impact properties even at sub-zero temperatures (tested at -40°C) and have good weldability with minimum preheating requirements. S690QL has a fine grain structure and provides good fatigue resistance and can be used where strength along with lower structural weight is required.
