Stainless Steel 201 Foils are composed primarily of Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (3.5–5.5%), Manganese (5.5–7.5%), and Nitrogen (max 0.25%), with trace amounts of Carbon (max 0.15%), Silicon (max 1%), Phosphorus (max 0.06%), and Sulfur (max 0.03%). These foils provide tensile strength ranging from 515–750 MPa, minimum yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 40%+. They have good hardness, acceptable corrosion resistance, and good formability, which makes them a cost-saving substitute for more expensive nickel alloys without sacrificing strength or structural integrity.
