Stainless Steel 310 Channel is an austenitic steel having predominantly 25% chromium and 20% nickel content with small traces of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This composition provides it with very good resistance to oxidation and corrosion, especially under elevated temperatures. It possesses a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%, which provides good mechanical properties. SS 310 also possesses good ductility, weldability, and creep property, making it appropriate for high temperature use. Its strength and stability retention ability up to 1100°C makes it suitable for severe industrial environments.
