For better creep resistance, stainless steel 321H has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) than regular 321 and roughly 17–19% chromium and 9–12% nickel. In order to stabilise the structure against carbide precipitation, titanium is also added in trace amounts. The material exhibits exceptional toughness at high temperatures and a tensile strength of 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. Even under extreme heat stress, it retains good formability and weldability. Because of these characteristics, 321H is perfect for uses requiring extended exposure to hot temperatures and corrosive conditions.
