Stainless Steel 410 has around 11.5–13.5% chromium, 0.15% carbon, and traces of phosphorus, manganese, and silicon. Grade 410S has lower carbon, and this enhances weldability and prevents hardening on welding. Mechanical properties are tensile strength 450–650 MPa, yield strength approximately 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%. These coils have good mechanical strength, moderate resistance to corrosion, and excellent formability, which makes them ideal for fabrication and industrial use where heat as well as wear resistance is necessary.
