Stainless Steel 439 Channel is a ferritic stainless steel containing mostly 17–19% chromium and a controlled percentage of titanium (0.30–0.60%) to enhance weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion. The carbon content is low (≤ 0.03%), and nickel is either minimal or absent, which lowers cost. This grade provides a tensile strength of around 415 MPa, a yield strength of around 275 MPa, and an elongation of 25%. It rates for hardness between HRB 89–95 and provides excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Its good formability and high thermal conductivity make it attractive for demanding applications.
