Super Duplex Steel Channels consist of around 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum with nitrogen and manganese additions. The two-phase microstructure (austenitic-ferritic) possesses excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The typical mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 750–850 MPa, yield strength of 550 MPa, and elongation of 25%. These channels also have high resistance to crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting and therefore can be used in corrosive and high-pressure environments. They are almost twice stronger than regular austenitic stainless steels.
