X120MN12 High Manganese Steel is made up mainly of 11–14% manganese, 0.8–1.4% carbon, with minute elements like phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. With this special composition, it shows remarkable hardness and toughness. The steel has high tensile strength of 800 to 1000 MPa and elongation of 30% to 50%, providing good work hardening characteristics. It becomes very hard on impact or abrasive wear, which is suitable for severe wear applications. It also has good ductility and toughness under extreme service conditions, providing consistent performance in high-stress service.
